Meet Elise,
Founder of Ripple Effect
Elise Wood is a pastor, speaker, writer, ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, and proud wife and mom. In October 2022, Elise launched Ripple Effect, a nonprofit ministry to serve the next generation called to ministry. She has over a decade of experience founding and directing next-generation leadership and ministry-training programs in the local church, and she has pastored and trained countless young people called into vocational ministry through those. Many of those young people are serving in ministry roles today, thriving as leaders and multiplying influence.
Elise is passionate about seeing people in their potential, championing their calling, and exhorting them to believe God for greater things. A “lifelong learner,” she earned a Master of Arts in Bible and Theology in 2018, and a B.A. in Biblical Studies in 2012. She enjoys putting those degrees to use through sermon writing, preaching, and also teaching college students as an adjunct professor for SEU on the side.
Elise and her husband Blare, who is also a pastor and preacher, were married in 2011, and they welcomed their daughter, Jensen in 2019. Together, they are planting a church in January 2025 to impact the community of Tempe, Arizona. Elise is passionate about seeing the next generation walk in the fullness of the call that God has placed on their lives to go and make disciples of all nations.
